Yamaha Aerox 155: Sporty Look, Strong Engine, and ABS Brakes – Starts at ₹1.50 Lakh

If you’ve been thinking of buying a scooter that doesn’t look boring and rides like a bike, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is worth checking out. Yamaha has brought something bold, stylish, and packed with power. This isn’t just another scooter it’s built for people who want performance, looks, and comfort all in one.

Looks like a sports bike

The first thing you notice about the Yamaha Aerox 155 is how sharp and aggressive it looks. It has a wide body, sporty cuts, and a bold front that makes it stand out anywhere. This is not your average daily scooter. It looks more like a racing bike but you don’t need to shift gears or deal with a clutch.

Under the body, it runs on a 155cc liquid-cooled engine, the same one Yamaha uses in its R15 bike. That’s a big deal. This engine gives you 14.75 bhp of power and 13.9 Nm of torque so it picks up speed quickly and runs super smooth. The engine also uses VVA tech, which basically helps give better performance both in city traffic and on highways.

Features that make life easy

The Yamaha Aerox 155 is not just powerful it’s smart too. You get an automatic start-stop system, which saves fuel when you’re stuck at signals. There’s also a safety feature that turns off the engine if the side stand is down so you don’t ride off by mistake.

What makes the ride comfortable is its big footboard, raised seat, and wide handlebars. The front has telescopic forks, and the rear has dual shocks that handle rough roads pretty well. It’s also practical there’s a 5.5-liter fuel tank and a massive 24.5-liter space under the seat where you can fit your helmet or bag.

Brakes and tech that matter

Yamaha Aerox 155 : Now let’s talk safety. The Yamaha Aerox 155 comes with single-channel ABS. That means even in an emergency stop, you’ll have better control. It has a 230mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum which is enough for daily city use.

For tech lovers, the scooter comes with a fully digital screen that connects to your phone through Bluetooth. You can check notifications, battery, and even track your trips. The LED headlights and taillights are bright and clear, and the body-colored alloy wheels add a premium finish.

What about price and colors?

Yamaha has launched two versions of the Aerox 155. The base model starts at ₹1,50,882. If you want a bit more style and features, the top-end “Aerox 155 S” comes in at ₹1,54,193. Both are available in some very cool color options Racing Blue, Grey Vermillion, and a MotoGP edition that looks straight out of a race track.

At this price, it’s definitely on the premium side. But Yamaha is clearly aiming at young riders who want something more than just a regular scooter. And honestly, it delivers.
